Our purpose at the Gulf Accountancy is to provide digital bookkeeping, accounting and tax services to individuals and small to medium size entities (SMEs). This is because we understand the importance of keeping accurate and reliable financial information for our clients to allow them to make informed strategic decisions. Our clients are afforded the opportunity to focus on their core businesses, while we ensure that they have the precise financial information for internal and external use by their stakeholders. These include SARS, shareholders, employees, founders, lenders, suppliers, customers and management. Our services are predominantly provided using platforms such as Microsoft teams, telephone, WhatsApp and email. We also accommodate in person interactions where preferable by our clients. Our main goal is to understand what type of services is required by our client (as an individual or SME) and provide these seamlessly.
The Gulf Accountancy is founded by Nomfundo Khawula, a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) with extensive experience in industries such as retail, manufacturing, hospitality, and insurance. Nomfundo holds a Cum-Laude in Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, specializing in Taxation, Financial Accounting, Auditing, and Financial Management. She further advanced her education with a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting Science from the University of Pretoria.
Nomfundo earned her Chartered Accountant with SAICA number 30742603 and is a SARS registered Tax Practitioner with PR 0118329 post her articles at the big 4 auditing firm KPMG.
She is passionate about compliance in the financial sector and making accounting services accessible to individuals and SME’s which otherwise are predominantly deemed expensive or for only large businesses in the sector.
